In addition to my repair work I also build custom-made musical instruments.
Stemming from my study in India these consist of Classical Indian instruments of my own design.
In addition to these I build what has come to be referred to as “Microtonal” instruments.

All the instruments I build are not mass-produced or manufactured, they are built for each person ordering them… Every Personal Tambura® is lovingly crafted and custom built to order for each individual capturing the essence of their energy and spirit…

I’ve had some interesting projects over the years and have new ones in progress, so these pages are a work in progress.

– The ‘Personal Tambura’ (new design of a very old instrument made just for you) HEAR IT

– The ‘Shiva Veena’ (an “ancient-style” Rudra Veena built for Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan circa 1992)
– The 19-tone Clavichord (built circa 1976 in collaboration with Erv Wilson)
– The Harry Partch instruments (on-going replicas and re-designs of Harry’s stringed instruments)
